About the book...

People often make their choices based upon their experiences in their lives, up to that point. Given the amount of knowledge one might have, the outcome might be closer to what was planned for. A Small Taste...Chapter 8 : Down In the Underground:

"Outside the building, two dark-blue Malibu sedans were parked along the sidewalk. Three men climbed out of the vehicle in front, as four more men, all similarly dressed, exited the second. They crowded around the front door, as their boss stepped out into the evening air. "Roughshod work. They missed a handprint in blood underneath the table." He half-hissed, as he pulled the brim of his hat back down onto his brow. He plucked the toothpick from his mouth and flicked it into the gutter as he led the men back to the cars. He stopped next to the passenger door of the first sedan, and peered around the street as deeply as the coming darkness would allow. His voice was quiet, reserved, but gruff, and commanding, as he issued orders to his men. "

A. J.'s Notes...

This book took awhile, and I was all over the place with it. I kept making small changes to the characters, then I'd end up re-writing whole chapters that felt wrong. Finally decided there was enough editing and I figured out a way to wrap it up and tie it to the ending. It was a new thing for me to have a beginning an and ending, with nothing in between.
