We are brought into the story at a crucial point in time. Several individuals are reciting information about human life, in the midst of something seemingly more sinister. » Welcome to AJ's serial works!

Thank you for visiting, dear Reader! I do hope you stay and participate in the discussion groups as they are available for each new serial release. Allow me first to define quickly what a serial is, and what you can expect from me, in terms of each publication.

  • What is a Serial? - The actual definition is as follows: "applied to materials in any medium issued under the same title in a succession of discrete parts, usually numbered (or dated) and appearing at regular or irregular intervals with no predetermined conclusion."
  • What to expect from each release - Roughly up to 10,000 words (5-10 chapters), special image based on that section, and an open discussion topic per active release. (Note: When a new release is published, that discussion topic is archived and a new one begins.)
  • Interaction - Yes, expect me to interact with the discussion, which will always be civil and not mean-spirited.

Use the Quick Links on the right to navigate around this area and also to return to the main website. The Latest Release can always be found in the next section below. Only the Latest Releases have a comment/discussion section. Have fun reading the serials and I look forward to our discussions!

Summary of preceeding chapters:

Previously, we learned about the existance of a planet named Sancti and an event involving M49 that did not turn out so well. The introduction of the LEAP initiative allowed for successful relocation of planetary life, as needed...

The Collective:

The founding of the collective is almost the first documented history that is available in the known Universe.  It is the “almost” that will be spoken about now, as it has some bearing on the current situation. The collective itself is not some vast organization with far reaching influence and seemingly unlimited technology. Rather, think of it terms of universal insurance on a planetary level. In the event of a planetary disaster, the collective helps others relocate and establish a new colony. In most cases the focus is on the prevention instead of handling the aftermath, but that does not always work.

Not long after my arrival upon this planet, Henry had been charged with documentation along with my help. We have been working together ever since, in order to store all of this information for the relocation of Earth’s life. Once a planet has been relocated, the inhabitants become part of the collective, assimilated, like adopting a pet as Henry had said. Each civilization maintains their own society though through local governing, but they are still connected together. It is this same hierarchy that is then applied on the planetary level and then in the case of the Earth say, regionally. There is a balance that the collective strives for and while it is not fragile exactly, it is sensitive and thus can be affected much more easily by outside sources.  As of now the balance has never been broken, but there have been a few instances where the shift threatened to destabilize a sector of a galaxy. After the last time this happened, more efforts were put forth to focus on prevention instead of the cleanup. This is why the documentation has become such an intricate cog within the process as a whole, with testifying being a centralized hub. For within that procedure, the tiny cracks running through the foundation of a civilization can be detected and addressed accordingly before any relocation steps are taken. This makes little difference however if the relocation must happen immediately, so the collective is constantly and consistently analyzing the balance universally and have been doing so for an amount of time that humans do not have a name for, according to Henry. Henry also informed me that humans cannot grasp the concepts of: time as being infinite and the universe as ever-expanding and contracting. These are learned by every collective member from birth or from initiation into, which to humans would be another form of birth as it has been explained to me at any rate. I would like to add that I have been surprised at how quickly I have assimilated human society…noting my usage of human verbiage these days. As Henry would have said, 'That is pretty cool, hip cat.'

Final Resolution:

There was a large section that appears to be missing from this report. It was later determined that Henry and Graydon were the same being. Henry was the original human being on Earth, before the arrival of the Collective and the beginning of the testifying process. Graydon was then the end result. The remains of the report were determined to be more of a general, but personal nature and therefore, irrelevant to the rest of our investigation. We were unable to discover how the testifying process works, but according to several psycholoscientists on our staff, it is the forced creation of a new, independent personality and it is this new personality that eventually becomes the dominant one within the host. In a few select cases, psys have been able to re-introduce the dormant personality, separate the two and then download one into a new host. These “collective members” are now able to become functioning members of our society, now that we understand more about them.

About

I was born in 1977, in Flint, MI. My parents divorced when I was two and I lived with my mother in Indiana. We left our small town when I was six or seven and moved to a much larger city. It took a lot of time to adjust to the move. During this time, my mother met a new man, and he later became my stepfather. For years my parents would use me to fight between one another. Neither of them letting go of their grudges before it was too late. My first marriage did not turn out so well, and neither did many of the relationships that followed. I was learning from my experiences (some might call them mistakes), and attempting to grow into a more responsible human being..
